There's two places in my garden that I specially enjoy and I wanted to recreate them in one of my Sims 3 families' garden, so of course, I had to redo it for Sims 4 as well, though I'm not a big fan of how the plants can look outdoors in Sims 4. Too heavy shadows for me... Anyway, as I mixed up my two favorite places into one, it doesn't look like home, but...

Yes, that old rattan armchair that you already saw in an Advent calendar has always been very uncomfortable, curving your neck, killing the cervicals, it's also wonky, so it's been banned from home. But it lives its best life as winter jasmin holder, set on a pallet to avoid too much moisture.
In my garden, it's under the cherry tree, where there's also the bird feeder. So, at the feet of the tree, we have installed a bath for birds & squirrels. It has a piece of wood in it to allow any other animals to get out of water easily.
I have a lot of pots where I don't put plants anymore because summers are now too dry and hot, so I now use the pots as surface to put my cup of tea, my book... but also so "dry garden sculpture", like small filled with pine cones and branches, or remarkable pieces of wood (that I haven't redone here...) There's several of these in the garden to indicate "warning, here, there's an interesting plant!"

But what I wanted the most to redo my garden was bellis perennis. I'm using the latin name because I don't think there's a different word in english for Leucanthemum vulgare, tall daisies that flower during summer, and bellis perennis, those short daisies that flower almost all the time. To be home, I had to make ivy ground cover, less high that from base game, and coming in several shades of greens. Do you know that ivy is very rich in saponins and that you can make laundry soap with it? It's actually what I do. I have a perpetual stock of future laundry soap with all that ivy running under the trees!
There's also that trunk slice that we once grabbed back from a walk in the woods that I'm using to sit, when the ground is too wet, so it became a meditation stool in Sims 4, not so far from the truth!
The brick... aw, perfect to put other pots, drinks, books... It comes from my other favorite places, the one I finally didn't make in Sims, with its pieces of woods, because I came to think... "but who cares of that?!", which is exactly what I'm thinking again after all that babble! :D

Il y a deux coins de mon jardin que j'avais envie de recréer pour une de mes familles Sims 3, mais bien sûr, je les ai aussi recréés pour les Sims 4, bien que j'apprécie moins leur rendu dans cette version du jeu. Ca ne ressemble plus tellement à chez moi vu que j'ai mélangé les deux endroits, mais installez vous!

Vous vous souvenez de ce fauteuil? Vous l'avez déjà vu en tant que siège dans un calendrier de l'avent. En fait, il a toujours été très inconfortable, vous faisant plier le cou de façon à bien vous briser les cervicales, il est bancale comme tout... Bref, ça fait belle lurette qu'il a été exilé dehors où il vit sa meilleure vie, installé sur une palette pour le protéger un peu de l'humidité, sous le cerisier. Il porte maintenant fièrement le pot du jasmin d'hiver. Le cerisier, c'est aussi le coin de la mangeoire à oiseaux, et donc du bar-piscine pour oiseaux et écureuils. Il y a toujours un morceau de planche dans l'eau pour permettre à tout insecte ou musaraigne qui s'y aventurerait de pouvoir ressortir en toute sécurité.
Je n'utilise plus tellement de pots pour les plantes, les étés étant devenus trop chauds et trop secs, alors j'y mets des trucs secs: des pommes de pin, des jolis branches... Souvent, je place ces pots pour signaler une plante intéressante du jardin, pour qu'elle ne soit pas fauchée à l'automne.

Ce qui me fallait surtout pour que ce jardin ressemble à chez moi, c'était un parterre de pâquerettes! Et du lierre. J'ai repris celui du jeu, mais il est moins épais, et existe en plusieurs variations de vert. Saviez-vous qu'on peut faire de la lessive à partir du lierre, qui est très riche en saponine?
La tranche de tronc, je m'en sers effectivement pour m'asseoir, pas vraiment pour méditer, souvent avec une tasse de thé posée sur un pot de fleurs renversé.
